Julian Bennett, 'Mr Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' is throwing a celebration to mark the life of his good friend Kristian Digby.

Kristian, a fellow TV presenter and gay icon was found dead last week in his home at the age of 32.

It has been argued since his passing that he brought 'gay' to the middle classes. A firm fixture on the television listings Kristian was many a housewives favourite becoming a positive face for the gay community.



Pinkwire caught up with Julian, the man who has taken charge of putting together this Friday's event which takes place at the Shadow Lounge in London at 8pm:

"I am hosting a night to remeber Kristian - a chance for friends and colleagues to get together and talk to each other about Kristian and how great a person he was.

Miss Kimberley will be singing a few songs on the night too and we will be raising money to go towards Pride London Campaign : Against Homophobia and Transphobia."
