Features

Happy Ending - Theatre Review

Something rather wonderful is happening in Above The Stag’s studio in Vauxhall - a two-hander called ‘Happy Ending’ is currently playing and, if you are looking for something light-hearted and incredibly funny, look no further than here.

Grindr the Opera! - theatre review

Imagine if Grindr, the hook-up app for gay men, was personified as a mischievous, playful but, ultimately, selfish god of the online underworld, and you have the start of ‘Grindr the Opera’, the latest offering from Above The Stag theatre in Vauxhall.

Beautiful Thing - theatre review

The new, and very much improved, Above The Stag has officially opened for business in its new venue. Whilst still under the arches, but on the other side of Vauxhall station, it has steamed into town with its latest production, Beautiful Thing by Jonathan Harvey.

Party - theatre review

There’s a Party going on right here… well, at Above The Stag theatre to be precise. This production, centring around a group of gay friends, is a revival of ATS’s hit from 2016 hit and, fair to say, it’s even better second time around.
